How to rent books on Everytext.com
  • The first step to renting books is searching for the book(s) you need. Once you find the book you want to rent, you can get the rental price of that book either by clicking on the "Get Rental Price" link on the search results page or the rental price is automatically displayed on the book details page.
  • Not every book is available for renting on Everytext.com. Our selection is limited to the most popular college textbooks and professional reference books at this time.
  • Once you have found the book you are looking for and it is available to rent; simply add it to your basket and follow the checkout procedure. You may only use a credit card for paying for the rental books. Also, at this time we only ship rental books to addresses within the US.
Rental periods and shipping options
  • You may rent books for the following periods of time:
    • Semester (120-140 Days)
    • Quarter (90-100 Days)
    Once you add the book to your basket to rent, you can see the actual due date by which the package must be postmarked.
  • Shipping is FREE both ways. When it is time to return your rental book, we will send you a prepaid return shipping label. Simply print that label and use it to send the book(s) back to us.
  • You must package every book you return carefully. Use a sturdy box for heavier books and paddded envelopes for lighter/smaller books. Failure to package books properly when returing may cause damage to the book(s).
  • All rental orders are shipped out through USPS standard mail with a tracking number. Once you place your order, you will be given a tracking number via email and the tracking number will appear on your account menu under the "Rental Order Details" page.
Book condition and care.
  • The condition of our rental books vary. Some of our books are brand new and some previously rented books are in a very good condition. You may write/highlight in a rental book; but out of consideration to your fellow students, please do not highlight/write excessively and to the point where readability is affected.
  • Rental books may or may not include all ancilliaries as issued by the publisher (CD's, DVD's, Onlin Access Codes, etc). You may use these ancilliaries but they must be returned alongwith the book once your rental period is over. Please note that online access codes may be previously used and may not be useable again in some cases.
Problems with your order.
  • If you do not receive your rental book(s) within 7-10 business days, we will investigate the matter and if the book is lost in the mail or is otherwise undeliverable, we will resend you another copy or cancel the order as per your instructions. However, if your book was not delivered to you because of an incorrect address, we may charge you a small shipping fee to resend the book(s) to you. Such a shipping fee would be anywhere between $3.00 - $10.00 (depending on the size of the rental order).
  • If you have damaged the book in any way or if the book is lost, we will charge your credit card for the price of a used copy of that book. This "buyout price" is determined at the time of such an incident and is nominally higher that the rental price already paid by you. On the other hand, you can also choose to buy the book at the end of the rental period. For a price quote, please email us at questions@everytext.com.
  • You may not keep any rental book beyond the rental period. However, if you must extend the rental period, you need to inform us beforehand via email. You will be charged for an extension in increments of 30 days. We will let you know the rental costs once you decide to extend your rental. The new due date for the rental book will be updated in you Rental Account page.
  • We understand that as students, you may drop the class or simply change your mind about renting books and choose to buy instead. If you want to cancel the order after you have placed it, you need to email us immedietly at questions@everytext.com and let us know the Rental Order Number. Once the book(s) have been shipped out, you have 21 days to return them for a full refund minus shipping
